our night-time routine
him: "memi 'uck?"
me: "baby duck is sleeping."
him: "to-ti?"
me: "rosie is sleeping."
him: "be?"
me: "ben is sleeping.:
him: "zzzzzz?"
me: "issy is sleeping."
him: "'ack?"
me: "jack is sleeping."
he then oh-so-quietly falls asleep and dreams of all the wonderful friends we met in Ireland.

my little succulent
a few weeks ago, we went to our neighborhood flower shop. we left with loads of knowledge, a tillandsia (an air plant...no soil needed...how cool is that?), a small succulent plant, some potting soil and other needed accessories.
once home, jackson and i wasted no time. here are some shots of the fun we had.

unfortunately, these plants need a minimal amount of water (once every 12 days to be exact). so i anxiously wait for the day to come to watch him pull the chair over to the counter, hop on up as quick as he can, fill the can with water, and we feed our little succulent.
we will watch it grow together.

comfortable summer
last summer, i practically lived in my saltwaters and bensimons. this summer is no different. while i often wrestled with the decision to-wear or not-to-wear saltwater sandals to work, my rational (and boring) side of me always won. but last week, i found the most comfortable, adorable, and office-friendly sandal EVER. so come Monday morning, i happily peel the saltwater sandals off my feet and slip into these little comfies for my double-agent life in the office.
I may be headed for grandma-hood (they are ortho shoes, after all) in these, but i don't care.

this american life
I am the hugest fan of this american life and might have a secret crush on Ira Glass (though I have no idea what he looks like;)). Was about to listen to the podcast and just saw this. Maybe one of the the coolest things ever. the workshop is held at this house in Cape Cod.
Bonus...you get to meet Ira!
